Kelly,

Great post! And so encouraging! Worth the wait... A message that we as parents need to hear and need to teach at home. Thank you for sharing.

I have a friend who has two college-aged children. From the time they were in elementary school until the time they moved out of the house she said to them every morning, "Remember who you belong to." I don't know if that was why, but both her kids have always had a Christ-like confidence.

It's always good to have someone in your life to let you know that the 'blooms' are looking a bit artificial, or even worse, there ain't no blooms showing at all. We humans, especially those of us who have been 'churched Christians' for a long time, know how to make the flowers look real when they are really quite expensive silk versions of the real thing!! Great post to remind me to check my roots more often!!!

Diane
krack-up.com

God's disappointment wasn't predicated on their attire, but their disobedience to his command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Even children at a young age understand because of a God-provided conscience that there are things that are inappropriate and require modesty. As the world moves towards worshiping the creature more than the Creator, vanity, haughtiness, and pride are the inevitable results of lawless humanity.
